The highest post office in the world is located in the village of Hikkim in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. Situated at an altitude of 4,440 meters (14,567 feet) above sea level, the Hikkim post office has been serving the local community and adventurous travelers since it was established in 1983. It provides an essential communication link to the remote regions of the Himalayas.
I saw every one clicking pictures of the post office, taking self and making videos. People were also posting postcards to their own address. The act was very much “******”. So I didn’t took any photo. It was cold enough to search for a coffee. I wanted to have a local tea ( Sea-buckthorn), and I found this guy seating inside this van which can not run or move anymore, and I saw the board with homestay. Lot of subjects were there, lot of compositions were there for people to click pictures. But all the people were not interested to converse with these objects and they were alone in the vally. They were waiting for someone to come, someone to talk to.
I decided to talk a picture of all of them together, when I was alone in Spiti.
